Novelis Inc., a Georgia-based industrial aluminum company, stopped its production of household foil in 2014 due to the negative market condition at that time. However, the firm has announced to resume the production of household foil at its manufacturing facility in Terre Haute, Indiana.
A total of more than US$7 million was needed for Novelis’ production resumption of household foil, used in the employment of 37 new employees and several units of idled equipment.
After reaching multi-year agreements with its major customers, Novelis will start to produce household aluminum foil later this year.
