According to statistics released by the Aluminum Association, the US produced around 75,000 tons of primary aluminum in March, growing by 7.6% compared to the previous month while falling by 21.6% from the same period a year ago.
In the first quarter, the US’ primary aluminum production amounted to 224,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 19.7%.
There are six aluminum plants in production in the US currently, with a total annual production capacity of 1.34 million tons.
As some aluminum plants in the US resumed their production, the operating capacity will gradually recover.
