A Victor company is moving to Farmington, where they will expand operations and create 20 new jobs, Empire State Development announced Monday.
ESD said MiniTec Framing Systems, an aluminum framing manufacturer, will expand its operations into a larger facility in Farmington.
Founded almost 20 years ago, MiniTec Framing Systems produces custom modular assembly systems and components for manufacturing plant applications and original equipment manufacturers, including clean rooms, laser enclosures, custom commercial door frames and industrial conveyance lines. Worldwide, the company operates 10 plants with locations in the United States, Germany, France, Great Britain, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain and China with sales and service partners in more than 60 countries.
Empire State Development has offered up to $130,000 through the Excelsior Jobs Program in exchange for job creation commitments.
The agency said the incentives will assist the company with purchasing additional machinery and equipment to accommodate its growth. The total cost for this portion of the project is a little more than $1.5 million.
According to ESD, the company has already spent $4.4 million to purchase property and construct the new 52,000-square-foot facility on County Road 41 in Farmington and expects to be fully operational there by November 2017.
MiniTec Framing Systems President Andrew Moles said the “support from Empire State Development has been vital to the completion of our expansion. Once complete, this expansion will create about 20 new jobs and several million dollars a year in economic impact to the Farmington area.”
And Farmington Town Supervisor Peter Ingalsbe said he is “very happy to see MiniTec Framing Systems’ growth and success happening here in Farmington. It is wonderful to have this successful company as part of our community, and we are looking forward to the grand opening celebration later this year.”
