Alcoa Announces Recycling Competition Winners

Universities and colleges across America competed in a competition to see who could collect the most recycles and divert the most waste.

RecycleMania, organized by the Alcoa Foundation and Keep American Beautiful, saw 524 schools take part in the 8 week competition that reaches more than 300 000 students across the country.

IVY Tech won after recycling 34% of its on campus waste and won a trophy created from crushed cans.
