A manufacturer of retail and exhibition display equipment is looking to expand in Greater Manchester after winning new accounts at home and abroad.
United Aluminium has submitted a planning application to expand its purpose-built premises in Middleton with the aim of boosting manufacturing capacity by 50 per cent.
The firm, which has 65 staff and generated revenues of more than ?6m during 2011, says it is on course to outgrow its current site by 2014. It moved there in January 2011.
The company, whose brands include Unibox and Lumenal, counts Primark and Morrisons among its UK customers and has clients business in Europe and the US.
Managing director and co-founder Nick Wraith said: “Having re-invested and worked hard to create some very stunning and popular retail display products, we are now ready to increase our output and create more jobs, but we need the space to do that.
“We employ locally and keep all aspects of production in-house.
“Expansion will give us a smarter production process which fulfils larger orders more quickly, and to more customers.”
