Three major trade associations representing the aluminum industry will host Aluminum Week October 15th to 18th 2012 at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel in Chicago.
According to a joint release issued by all three group, the Aluminum Association, Aluminum Extruders Council and Aluminum Anodizers Council have agreed to co locate their meetings to increase cooperation and communication among different sectors of the industry. The combined program will include the AA annual meeting, the AEC extrusion symposium and the AAC international anodizing conference and exposition.
Mr Heidi B Brock president of AA said that "Co location with our partner organizations provides value back to our members. Leaders can assess the state of the US aluminum industry and determine how best to maximize association resources and cooperation to support industry growth."
Mr Rand A Baldwin president of AEC said that "For the past two years, the Aluminum Association and Aluminum Extruders Council have worked together on Aluminum Week. The addition of the Aluminum Anodizers Council to Aluminum Week is a great enhancement to the event for the industry."
Mr Gregory T Rajsky president of AAC said that "Bringing together the three most prominent trade associations covering the aluminum industry is an exciting development and opportunity for AAC members. Chicago offers the perfect venue for Aluminum Week."
