Aluminum Association Welcomes New Member, Skana Aluminum

The Aluminum Association is proud to announce its newest company member, Skana Aluminum.

Skana Aluminum, located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, continues its long history of aluminum manufacturing in North America and the Wisconsin Lakeshore area. This history extends back to the 1900s with the formation of Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Company in 1909 and the establishment of MIRRO cookware product line in 1918. In 1983 the company was purchased by Newell/Rubbermaid and today, lives on as Skana Aluminum.

“Our membership is our number one focus and we are excited to welcome Skana Aluminum,” said President Steve Larkin. “Each member has a unique background that brings a fresh prospective to the table as we work towards the goals of our industry.”

Skana President & COO Robert Gamba is a highly accomplished senior international business executive with more than two decades of experience in the aluminum industry.

“To us the Aluminum Association epitomizes what industrial associations should aspire to, an organization bringing coherency, consistency and legitimacy to all aspects of an industry. For Skana, a start-up company, now already operating our mill over 50 % of its capacity, the Aluminum Association, through its various publications has already given us unambiguous guidelines of how we should be operating our manufacturing and quality assurance environments.
