Mr Robert P Strieter vice president, health, environment & safety announced his retirement effective March 1st 2011. An environmental scientist by training, Mr Bob displayed tremendous skill in managing environmental issues for the Aluminum Association.
He also displayed extensive regulatory experience on air pollution and hazardous air pollution issues, environmental research, climate change policy, occupational health regulation, environmental technology assessment, sustainability and environmental impact assessment. Bob joined the Aluminum Association in 1994 and prior to that worked for the American Petroleum Institute.
Mr Steve Larkin president of Aluminium Association said that “Bob’s dedication to the aluminum industry and his diligence and success in working on the industry’s environmental issues are irreplaceable. We cannot thank him enough. We wish him a happy retirement full of adventure and relaxation.”
Mr Chuck Johnson the current Director of Environment, Health & Safety will fill the vice president position upon Mr Bob’s departure.
