Governor Mr Jim Doyle announced that US Aluminum Inc, Wauwatosa, Milwaukee County will receive USD 35,000 in tax credits from the Economic Development Tax Credit Program from the Department of Commerce to consolidate its manufacturing and administration facility in Wauwatosa.
Mr Doyle said that even in these tough national economic times, we have already seen the powerful effects that economic development tax credits can have on our state’s economy. Therefore, it is critical that we continue to invest in strong companies that are willing to create jobs in Wisconsin.
US Aluminum manufactures and distributes aluminum rain gutter products. The company plans to move its manufacturing facility from Milwaukee to its administration facility in Wauwatosa. The consolidation of the facilities allows US Aluminum to expand its operations and create a second work shift. The company will invest approximately USD 100,000 and create 21 jobs.
This project builds on Governor Mr Doyle’s efforts to position Wisconsin for future growth. Since taking office in 2003, Mr Doyle has worked aggressively to create and retain jobs in Wisconsin. Governor Doyle’s budget last year created some of the strongest economic development tools in the nation to help businesses create jobs and get people back to work. Wisconsin now has powerful new tax credits to help manufacturers create and retain jobs, new tools to help investors create start ups and new incentives to spur research and development.
