BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Albemarle Corp. said Tuesday that it is increasing global prices for all grades of trimethyl aluminum by 25 percent.
The price increase will be in effect for all shipments beginning Jan. 1, or as contracts allow.
Trimethyl aluminum is used in the polymer and electronics industries. Albemarle said the price increase will allow it to invest in the best quality product, safest shipping containers and efficient global distribution.
This was the latest in a series of price increases for various products made by Baton Rouge-based Albemarle.
