（RTTNews） - Aluminum producer Alcoa, Inc. （AA） Monday announced the appointment of Matthew Garth as Vice President, Finance for the company's North American Rolled Products Group. Roy Harvey, Director, Corporate Treasury for Alcoa, will succeed Garth as Director, Investor Relations. The company stated that the appointments come into effect immediately.
Garth joined Alcoa in 2002 as Manager, Investor Relations. He also held financial positions in corporate analysis and strategic planning and as Director of Corporate Treasury. Garth returned to Investor Relations as Director in 2009.
Before joining Alcoa, Garth was with Thomson Financial, advising industrial companies on valuations, mergers and acquisitions, and investor engagement.
Harvey joined Alcoa in 2002 as a business analyst for the Primary Metals business in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 2005, he moved to the S??o Luis Plant in Brazil, and in 2007, he became plant manager for the San Cipri??n, Spain, smelter and then Director of Finance and Business Integration for Global Primary Products Europe.
In January this year, Harvey became Director, Corporate Treasury, and played a major role in developing an extensive enterprise risk management program. Prior to joining Alcoa, Harvey worked with gold mining company Greenstone Resources Ltd.
Alcoa said the Rolled Products Group is composed of North American Mill Products and Rigid Packaging operations, with $4 billion in revenues. Mill Products has three manufacturing plants located in Davenport, Iowa, and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Rigid Packaging's operations are located in Alcoa, Tennessee, and Warrick, Indiana.
AA is trading at $13, up $0.28 or 2.20%, on a volume of 9.30 million shares.
