Century Aluminum of Kentucky, a wholly owned subsidiary of Century Aluminum Company , announced yestday that it has reached a tentative agreement with the United Steelworkers on a four-year collective bargaining agreement. The agreement, which covers approximately 500 hourly workers at the Hawesville smelter, remains subject to ratification. The Union has scheduled a ratification vote for October 28.
Century Aluminum Company owns primary aluminum capacity in the United States and Iceland. Century's corporate offices are located in Monterey, California.
