Anglo American says Queensland coal output impacted by rains

PERTH Dec 9 （Reuters） - Anglo American Metallurgical Coal said on Thursday that heavy rains in Australia's Queensland state have disrupted some of its coal production.

"Anglo American will continue to monitor production impacts over the coming days," the company said in an emailed statement.

Anglo American, the world's number three producer of metallurgical coal, currently operates five mines in Queensland. （Reporting by Rebekah Kebede; Editing by Ed Davies）
