Alcan Cable, part of Alcan Engineered Products – a business unit of Rio Tinto – is launching Shi De He Jin? as the new Chinese brand name for its aluminium alloy cables at the EPower Tradeshow in Beijing, People's Republic of China. Originally introduced to the Chinese market in 2008 under the U.S. brand name of STABILOY? cables, the Chinese brand name Shi De He Jin? means “high quality and reliable alloyed product” and represents excellence and virtue in the Chinese culture.
“Our aluminium alloy cables are lightweight, very flexible and much easier to install compared to copper cables,” said Ivan Salamin, General Manager of Alcan (Tianjin) Aluminium Alloy Products. “Our cable products are new to the Chinese market, but they have been recognised in North America as a secure and reliable wiring solution for over 35 years.”
“The launch of the Chinese brand name demonstrates Alcan (Tianjin) Aluminium Alloy Products' commitment to the Chinese market with our unique, cost-effective solutions for residential, commercial, power utility, industrial, and institutional market applications,” said Howard H. Atkins, Director of Business Development, Alcan Cable.
As a leading brand of aluminium alloy cables in North America, the STABILOY? product line was the first low voltage cable offering introduced to China in 2008. STABILOY? cables have been successfully installed in thousands of projects throughout North America.
Alcan Cable's newest world-class manufacturing plant is located in the Tianjin Airport Industrial Park and dedicated to the production of the Shi De He Jin? brand of aluminium alloy building wire products. Alcan Cable has provided its customers with quality products and outstanding customer service for over 100 years.
