LME Aluminium ends up 1.17%, inventories fall

The 3 month LME aluminium forwards traded higher for the day and prices end at $2,168 per tonnes, up by 1.17%.

LME warehouses reported to shed 3300 tonnes to stocks of 4.566 million tonnes.

Unwrought stocks rose to 1.263 million tonnes in January compared with 1.203 million tonnes in December, while total smelter stocks rose to 2.293 million tonnes in January from 2.227 million tonnes in December.
