LME base metals across the board are trading modestly lower early Tuesday as copper consolidates, says a LME base metals broker. If the funds come back into the market, LME copper could aim higher but for now the consolidation is a "welcomed relief" and should help to build a base before prices climb back up towards $8,000 a metric ton, broker adds. For the time being, the other LME metals will continue to follow copper, trader notes. LME copper trades at $7,700/ton, down 0.5% from Monday.
