LME copper holds above $7,000 a metric ton despite a lack of improvement in the fundamentals as the weight of money invested in the market provides support, a London-based broker says. Overbought conditions suggest a retracement is likely ahead of the weekend, he notes, although there's little obstruction on the charts and further gains could equally as easily be seen. LME copper is last at $7,340/ton, +2% from Wednesday.
