Continuing buying on the back of strong copper import data from China is giving a boost to LME prices with the market above $6,800 a metric ton, a London trader says. "The overall outlook for demand from China looks a lot better," the broker adds. The pressure within the nearby spreads appears to have eased, he notes, although further tightening is likely through April. LME copper is last at $6,830/ton, +2% overnight.
