London Metal Exchange nickel looks set to trade at "sky-high levels for some time to come," says BMO Capital Markets analyst Bart Melek. Notes demand is set to outstrip supply in both '07 and '08, amid dwindling stocks of less than one days' consumption in LME warehouses. LME nickel trades last at $36,400 a metric ton, up 2% on the day.
