Jan. 16 -- Copper gained on the London Metal Exchange, erasing an earlier decline.
Copper for delivery in three months on the LME gained $10, or 0.2 percent, to $5,640 a metric ton as of 10:57 a.m. local time. Earlier, the contract fell as much as 2.8 percent to $5,470 a ton, the lowest intraday price since April 3.
