Players wishing to run square trading books to the end of the year will keep London Metal Exchange copper around current lower levels, says a broker. Poor technicals and talk of redemptions in some of the index funds is expected to leave players reluctant to take positions, despite prices around 8-month lows, he adds. LME copper trades last at $6,355 a metric ton, up from $6,335/ton overnight but 4% down intraday.
