MARKET TALK: LME Zinc At New High, Fundamentals Stay Firm

London Metal Exchange three-month zinc hits a fresh high in early trade as positive fundamentals and light speculative interest lifts prices to $4,195 a metric ton, a broker says. Attention remains on release of LME warehouse stock data with inventories at 110,800 tons and further drawdowns likely to fuel fresh upside, he adds. Volumes are very illiquid so far, the broker notes. LME zinc trades at $4,105/ton, up from a kerb close of $4,165/ton on Friday.
