Tuesday was the fourth consecutive day of heavy-volume inflow into the system with the focal point of arrival switching from Singapore to South Korea.
At the same time, daily draw rates are slowing noticeably, which is a direct function of the low rate of cancellation in the last couple of weeks.
The cancellation rate improved slightly yesterday but an overall ratio of cancelled tonnage to total registered tonnage of 5.1% is still low by recent standards and doesn’t promise any fire-works on the “out” side of the equation in the short term.
The headline figure has now recorded four consecutive “up” days, during which time it has risen by 10,525t.
