London Metal Exchange three-month copper starts to tick higher, as the market slowly shrugs off its recent sluggish tone, a broker says. "Copper has been sitting back in a steady range while the rest of the base metals target fresh highs, and now the market's getting ready for its turn," he adds. Strong fundamentals continue to underpin prices in the near-term, he adds, with $8,000 a metric ton the next overhead target. LME copper trades at $7,807.50/ton, up from $7,775/ton overnight.
