According to the announcement of Emirates Global Aluminum PJSC (EGA), the company extended the new contract about alumina supply with Vietnam’s Vinacomin through 2023.
The previous contract would be expired at the end of 2020 and the new one covers the continuous purchase volume of 300,000 tons of alumina from Vinacomin, which took up 60% of the demand for EGA’s Al Taweelah aluminum plant.
As the largest premium aluminum producer in the world, EGA has an estimated company value of US$15 billion. This agreement could further enhance both countries’ trading relationship.
