Bloomber Jan 13--Production in Guinea’s mining industries climbed in the nine months of 2010 to September as political stability helped increase demand for metals and gems from the West African nation, the finance ministry said.
Guinea produced 12 million metric tons of bauxite, 564,000 tons of alumina, 200,000 carats of diamonds and 603,000 ounces of gold, the Conakry-based ministry said in a statement handed to reporters today.
