The Merval Index closed little changed at 3,603.44.
Aluar Aluminio Argentino SAIC (ALUA AF), Argentina’s largest aluminum producer, rose 2.8 percent to a record 6.15 pesos. Aluminum prices reached the highest level since September 2008.
Ledesma SAAI (LEDE AF) climbed 2.8 percent to 10.10 pesos, its eighth day of gains. The Argentine sugar producer gained 25 percent in its first four days of trading as a member of the Merval index.
Molinos Rio de la Plata SA (MOLI AF) gained 5.7 percent to a record 33.60 pesos. The soy processor rose 20 percent in its first four days of trading as a member of the Merval index.
