Emirates Aluminium announces Al Jaber Group as its First Abu Dhabi based client

Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) has delivered its first shipment of aluminium, in the form of standard ingot, to Al Jaber Aluminium Extrusions L.L.C., a member of Al Jaber Group, based in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Al Jaber Group will be receiving a regular supply of primary aluminium from the Taweelah-based smelter and will be using its produced aluminium in a range of products from windows, doors, curtain walls, thermal breaks, lighting, access devices, signage, furniture, decor, vehicle to machine bodies.

Over time, we hope that EMAL produced aluminium will make its way into the daily lives of every resident in the Emirate through the products they purchase, the homes they live in and the environment that surround them,” said EMAL CEO Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei.

Mazrooei stressed that the role EMAL plays extends beyond the work done at the smelter. “When we supply local companies with primary aluminium, it builds even greater diversification for Abu Dhabi in line with the Emirate's Strategy for 2030. As an employer and exporter, EMAL has a major role in the economy of Abu Dhabi, but the real impact comes downstream where job creation and economic growth will be exponential,” said Mazrooei.

One of the largest smelters in the world, EMAL's customers will benefit from high quality of products and efficient and secure supply. Ramp up to full production began in December 2009 with the delivery of the first molten metal to the cast house for production.

The Al Jaber Aluminium Extrusions L.L.C. has been in operation since 1996, professionally catering to the local and international markets. The applications of the profiles extruded are in compliance with International Standards (ASTM, BS, QUALICOAT, ISO 9001:2000, etc.), and range from windows, doors, curtain walls, thermal breaks, lighting, access devices, signage, furniture, decor, vehicle and machine bodies.

With 5 presses, 3 fully automatic anodizing lines and 3 fully automatic powder-coating lines, Al Jaber Aluminium Extrusions L.L.C. produces on an average 40,000 Tons per annum. The Plant also hosts a fabrication wing that caters to various construction projects and state-of-the-art laboratory to perform quality control destructive and non destructive tests.
