(MENAFN) General Electric (GE) announced that it has signed a $45 million deal with Dubai Aluminium Company (Dubal) to service gas turbines used to power the smelter's production site, AP reported. The Fairfield, Connecticut-based company's GE Energy unit says the seven-year deal aims to lower production costs and cut harmful nitrogen oxide emissions by 15 percent. State-owned Dubai Aluminium, or Dubal, operates 19 GE gas turbines at its production facility on Dubai's outskirts. It can produce up to 960,000 tons of aluminum annually, and counts customers in 48 countries
