The UAE's Dubai Aluminium Company said that sales rose 5% in the Q2 as demand remained strong in Asia and the Middle East. Sales volumes for the Q2 were 275,055 tonnes compared to 261,972 tonnes in the same period in 2008. The company said in May that it expected sales to fall 20% in the Q2 amid high global inventories.
