Dong-il Aluminium Co., Ltd., an aluminum foil producer in South Korea, increased its production capacity to meet growing demand from the global electric vehicle battery markets, such as the US and Europe, as well as the domestic electric vehicle battery industry.
Park Chan Gyu, CEO of Dong-il Aluminium, said that the demand for high-quality aluminum foil has increased remarkably due to electric vehicle makers’ need for batteries with higher safety and energy density.
The CEO also said that the company has a goal to double its production capacity with large investments and reach 1 trillion won in sales by 2030.
