S.Korea buys smaller-than-planned 4,000 T aluminium

SEOUL, May 21 (Reuters) - South Korea has purchased 4,000 tonnes of primary aluminium ingot for July 15 shipping to the port of Incheon, the state-run Public Procurement Service said on Thursday. The agency, which sought to buy 10,000 tonnes of the metal, purchased 2,000 tonnes with western origin from Glencore at a premium of $113 a tonne over London Metal Exchange spot prices. It purchased another 2,000 tonnes with non-western origin at a premium of $98 a tonne from a local trading house.
