South Korea Tenders to Buy Aluminum, Nickel and Tin Shipments

Sept. 20 -- South Korea's Public Procurement Service, a state-run body that manages strategic commodities, has issued tenders to buy 7,000 metric tons of aluminum ingots and 200 tons of nickel and 100 tons of tin. The agency is seeking 4,000 tons of high-grade primary aluminum ingots with a minimum purity of 99.7 percent from Western states, and the remainder from Russia, China, Egypt or India, according to details on the service's Web site. Suppliers are asked to submit bids by Sept. 27.
