According to statistics from the Federal Customs Service of Russia, Russia’s unwrought aluminum exports totaled more than 1.6 million tons in the first half of this year, rising by 50.1% compared to the same period a year ago. The export value was around US$2.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 63.2%.
In June alone, the exports of unwrought aluminum amounted to roughly 388,000 tons, hiking by nearly 52% month on month and up by 56.4% year on year. The export value during the period was approximately US$850 million, a month-on-month increase of 79.8% and a year-on-year surge of 210%.
