Russian aluminum giant Rusal’s production in 2020 totaled 3.755 million tonnes of aluminum, which is almost the same level compared to 2019, according to the company's operating results published on Monday on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The company produced 3.757 million tonnes of aluminum in 2019, which is 0.1% higher than in 2020.
At the same time, the volume of sales over the past year decreased by 6% to 3.926 million tonnes.
The average price of the sold aluminum stood at $1,805 per tonne, which was a 6% drop, according to the document.
The company’s document also stated that the global demand for the aluminum in 2020 decreased by 1.7% to 63.9 million tonnes.
Rusal is one of the world's largest producers of aluminum and alumina. Its factories employ about 64,000 people.
