According to the latest statistics from the US Geological Survey, Russia exported around 5,000 tons of aluminum products (crude metal and alloys, semi-finished products, and scrap) in August, dropping by 40% year on year; the figure in the first eight months of this year reached roughly 92,500 tons, sliding by 93% compared to the same period a year ago.
In addition, Russia’s exports of crude metals and alloys to the US amounted to around 3,400 tons in August, down by 25.22% from the previous month and also dropping by 56% year on year.
In the first eight months, Russia exported nearly 78,000 tons of crude metals and alloys to the US, a year-on-year decline of 38%.
