United Company RUSAL (RUSAL), the second-largest aluminum producer in the world, reported its aluminum production totaling nearly 940,000 tons in the third quarter of this year, up by 1.3% compared to the previous quarter, of which Siberian smelters accounted for 93% of total aluminum output.
The sales of aluminum amounted to approximately 1 million tons, an increase of 3.3% compared to the second quarter.
During the period, Rusal’s sales of value-added products had a quarter-on-quarter increase of 25.4% to 455,000 tons. The average realized aluminum price hiked by 6.5% quarter on quarter, due to an increase in the average price on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
