United Company RUSAL (RUSAL) reported that its aluminum output totaled around 930,000 tons in the second quarter of this year, down by 1.4% from the previous quarter, of which Siberian smelters accounted for 93% of total aluminum output.
During the same period, RUSAL’s aluminum sales volume was roughly 980,000 tons, sliding by 6.8% quarter on quarter; the sales volume of value-added products had a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 14%, impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic.
In addition, RUSAL’s alumina output was around 2 million tons, keeping flat quarter on quarter; bauxite output totaled around 3.89 million tons, increasing by 8.8% from the previous quarter.
