Russia's aluminum, copper and nickel exports fell in January-July following falling demand on the world markets, according to the figures released by the federal customs service Thursday.
Russia exported 113,900 tons of copper in the period, which was 38.2% down on the year. The exported copper was worth $865.6 million, 38% less than a year ago. Practically all the copper was exported to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The country exported in 2.091 million metric tons of aluminum, a fall of 1.1% on the year. The exported aluminum was worth $3.948 billion, 5% less a year ago.
Russia exported in 119,500 tons of nickel, 26.1% down on the year. The exported nickel was worth $1.974 billion, 28.8% less than a year ago.
Practically all the nickel and aluminum was exported to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States.
