RUSAL tells Norilsk minorities to demand buyback finish

Aluminium giant RUSAL engaged in often-acrimonious negotiations over the sale of its stake in Norilsk Nickel （GMKN.MM: Quote）, said on Monday it had dropped its opposition to the Arctic giant's share buyback.

"We recommend that the minority shareholders demand from （Norilsk unit） Corbiere the immediate completion of the buyback given RUSAL's official position of no objection and a proffered undertaking not to pursue a claim in this regard," RUSAL said in a statement。（Reuters）
