HONG KONG Feb 14 (Reuters) - Russia's United Company RUSAL Plc (0486.HK: Quote) (RUAL.PA: Quote), the world's largest aluminium producer, said on Monday it plans to lift aluminium production by 2 percent in 2011 to meet rising demand.
RUSAL also said in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange that it would increase output of alumina, a key material for the lightweight metal, by 8 percent this year.
Its aluminium output rose 3 percent to 4.08 million tonnes in 2010 and alumina production was up 8 percent to 7.8 million tonnes, it said
