The united company 'Russian Aluminum' announced the initiative 'Strategy of Secure Future', which includes the activities aiming the reduction of impact on the environment and minimization of the risks of climatic changes. The company sets a goal to reduce direct air discharges of greenhouse gases by existing aluminum plants by 50% by 2020. In long-term perspective the company intends to fully eliminate carbon discharges to the atmosphere during the entire cycle of production of aluminum and aluminum products.
