SUAL Made 794 Thousand Tons of Aluminum in 9M 2006

MOSCOW, October 12. /FIS/. In 9M 2006, SUAL produced 794 thousand tons of primary aluminum, posting a 1.5% growth against 9M 2005. Bauxite production grew by 13.4% compared with January-September 2005, to 4.5 million tons. According to the company's press service, strong positive changes are due to a considerable growth of the efficiency of Sredne-Timanskiy bauxite mine, by one third as compared with its efficiency in 9M 2005, along with the persisting high level of production at Severouralskiy bauxite mine, where the 'Novo-Kaliynskaya' mine was put into operation in August 2005.
