According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global primary aluminum market had a supply shortage of 165,600 tons in May this year.
During the reporting period, the global primary aluminum production was 5.7074 million tons, and the consumption totaled 5.873 million tons.
In the first five months of this year, the global primary aluminum production amounted to around 28.18 million tons, and the consumption was 27.85 million tons. There was an oversupply of 334,800 tons.
