According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global primary aluminum market had a supply shortage of 280,431 tons in the first 11 months of last year, and the shortage in the whole year of 2021 was 1.16145 million tons.
In the January-November period of last year, the global apparent consumption of primary aluminum was roughly 62.77 million tons, and the global primary aluminum production was around 62.49 million tons.
In November alone, the global primary aluminum production totaled about 5.75 million tons, and the apparent consumption was 5.827 million tons.
