China's passenger car data showed that due to the lightweight demand for new energy vehicles, the amount of aluminum used by new energy vehicles was significantly higher than that of traditional fuel vehicles.
Data showed that in 2020, the amount of aluminum used by non-pure electric vehicles was 206 kg, and the amount of aluminum used by pure electric vehicles was 292 kg, 42% higher than that of non-pure electric vehicles. Among them, automotive aluminum alloy plates are the parts with the fastest growth.
Professional institutions pointed out that if the growth rate of China's automotive aluminum plate demand is calculated separately, the compound annual growth rate from 2021 to 2026 will reach 22%.
