According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), in the first seven months of this year, global alumina production amounted to approximately 82.3 million tons, growing by 6.67% compared to the same period a year ago.
In July alone, global alumina production totaled around 12.23 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 3.18% and a year-on-year hike of 7.95%.
Among them, the production in Africa and Asia (excluding China) was roughly 1.13 million tons, up by 5.83% month on month and rising by 3.21% year on year. The output in Oceania was nearly 1.8 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 1.36%.
