According to Rio Tinto's report, the firm’s alumina production totaled around 2.01 million tons in the second quarter, increasing by 1% compared to the same period a year ago, reflecting the strong performance at refinery’s operations.
In comparison with the previous quarter, Rio Tinto’s second-quarter alumina production had a drop of 1%, mainly due to the planned closure of its Yarwun refinery.
In the first half of 2021, Rio Tinto’s alumina output reached roughly 4.05 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1%.
