Kaiser Aluminum Corporation (KLUCQ.OB) revealed a profit for third quarter that lost ground compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line came in at $16 million, or $0.90 per share. This was lower than $19 million, or $1.02 per share, in last year's third quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.08 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.7% to $333 million. This was up from $321 million last year.
