Brazil’s exports of bauxite and aluminium fell in November, while alumina shipments increased, according to the country’s trade ministry.
Bauxite Bauxite exports from Brazil reported a 14% fall in November after China and Canada reduced purchases. Shipped volumes were 719,719 tonnes in the month, compared with 836,941 tonnes in November last year. Shipments were down 32.6% decrease from October, when 1.06 million tonnes were exported. Export revenue in November stood at $29.74 million, compared with $30.43 million a year earlier. China decreased its imports to 47,197 tonnes in the month.
